INGEAR OPC Server products

INGEAR OPC Servers are licensed on a per computer basis. This means that you need a license for each computer that you plan to run the OPC server on in non-demo mode. Multiple license packages are available on our purchasing page. If you need larger volumes of licenses for any reason, please contact us to discuss your needs.

For users of the Windows CE or PocketPC versions of INGEAR OPC Servers, you do NOT need a license for using the desktop OPC server you use on your desktop PC or laptop to build your OPC server configuration for your CE device. The desktop OPC server that comes with those products will communicate to the PLC from the desktop or laptop computer for 2 hours at a time and then timeout. Licensing information is not stored in the OPC server configuration file, so you do not have to worry about your configuration file from your desktop PC causing problems with the licensed version of the OPC server on your Windows CE device.
