The beauty of the INGEAR solution is that you build your application using the desktop version of the OPC server using either your favorite HMI software application for Windows CE or with Embedded VB and the soon to be included free iDAX
activex controls included and deploy it to your device. The only difference between the desktop and Windows CE versions is there are certain interface cards for proprietary PLC
networks only supported on the desktop. When you purchase an INGEAR OPC Server for Windows CE, you will actually receive the full product installation set and rights to
unlock/license the OPC server on your target Windows CE device.
No Special Hardware or Software Needed
The INGEAR OPC Servers for Windows CE 3.0 do not require any special software from your PLC manufacturer in order to operate. They talk directly to your target PLC via your chosen network. There is no need to go through a desktop PC
, complicated Terminal Services setup, etc. Simply get your panel on your PLC network and go.

Licensing
INGEAR OPC Servers for Windows are licensed on a per computer basis - therefore you need a
licensed copy of the INGEAR OPC Server for each Windows CE computer you plan to run the OPC
